We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Coordinator, West who will focus on supporting the Retail Operations Team, based in beautiful Vancouver BC. This is a full-time position.

The Opportunity:

In this exciting and challenging role, you will provide direct administrative support to the Regional Retail Operations Manager, and assigned Territory Managers. You will be required to maintaining a high level of client service, and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times. As first point of contact, you will provide the customer with timely, complete, accurate, and up to date information.

Primary Duties: 

  • Support Regional sales manager, Director of retail operations and territory managers with day-to-day tasks and projects
  • Liaise on sales activities between departments; brand management, key accounts and retail field sales
  • Coordinating and managing communication for the team by updating the Weekly Information Package
  • Maintain Sale Force Automation System (Mantis) by keeping the program up to date with new items, new retailer information and being the point person on the program
  • Create booking sheets including Indigo promotions and CHFA booking sheets
  • Retail Ops account specific booking sheets (excluding Choices Illy booking)
  • Save retail photos into the relevant drive folders
  • Work with the Manager to create Monthly Priorities for the team and keep the promotional tracker updated
  • Schedule conference calls and other weekly calls, and training sessions as required
  • Prepare and update agendas for calls/meetings
  • Note taking during conference calls and meetings as required
  • Work with other Eastern Sales Coordinators and Assistant Brand Managers across the country to ensure National alignment in processes, systems and tools
  • Support sales team on administrative tasks such as account specific form completion, new line listings, brand specific par forms and promotional planners
  • Support the brand team by creating promotional kits as requested
  • Maintain case stack document and other sales tools
  • Organize sample room (onsite and offsite) and samples; management, stock rotation and old stock removal as and when necessary
  • Manage demo supplies and samples; ordering, shipping, sorting and putting away
  • Distributing samples and new products to the Sales Team
  • Assist with general office support activities including answering the office phone and office access by visitors and couriers as required
  • Assist with organizing team events and catering
  • Make gift baskets for the Sales team and support Brand team during gift basket promotions
  • Any other general duties that you may, from time to time, be asked to perform.
  • Be an Indigo ambassador, who exemplifies our culture in all internal and external communications and interactions.

Education and Experience 

  • 2 to 5 years related administrative experience is required
  • Consumer packaged goods industry/natural health food industry is strongly preferred

  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook etc.)

The Opportunity:

As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for achieving/exceeding budgeted sales goals for the assigned territory. This is accomplished through effective communication, in-person appointments and constant follow-up with customers and potential customers. This is a full-time position and you would be expected to travel 75% of the time.

Primary Duties:

  • • Manage the assigned retail territory, selling to both natural health food and independent grocery accounts as assigned
  • • Develop annual business plan for your territory, manage trade-spend requirements and ensure ROI guidelines are being met or exceeded
  • • Establish and maintain a regular call-cycle to meet individual and company established objectives and targets
  • • Build solid working relationships with decision makers through demonstrated product knowledge, integrity, reliability, and consistency
  • • Problem solve, and deliver solutions at the retail level
  • • Provide customized plans that meet the store and company objectives
  • • Responsible for weekly and monthly processing of administrative tasks including auditing, and promotional plans
  • • Accountable for all merchandising duties such as auditing, couponing, point of sale material etc.
  • • Negotiate and maximize in-store presence and placement for new and existing products, shelf position and display opportunities
  • • Attend trade shows (local, national or international) as required
  • • Prospect, explore and advises on new account opportunities
  • • Work with Automated Retail Sales Software Programs as required
  • • Develop an understanding of the industry and transfer this knowledge to the management of accounts by reporting on competitive and industry news

Education and Experience

  • • Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, or marketing OR an equivalent combination of experience and training in the CPG industry
  • • 2 + years previous or related experience; natural health food industry is strongly preferred
